JH RAHN foundation

The JH Rahn Foundation, Zurich, was registered in the commercial register on 5 November 2010.

The purpose of the foundation is to provide clinical research and training to young doctors of dermatologic surgery (general and oncological) and phlebology, including wound management. It enhances and supports clinical training as well as clinical research projects.

The foundation is devoted to Chorherr Johann Heinrich Rahn (1749-1812), a pioneer of modern medicine and structured medical teaching from Zurich, Switzerland. He belonged to a group of leading academics who put into practice the principles of enlightment, focusing on rationality and development of modern natural science. He put his broad knowledge and skills in the service of the population of his home town, Zurich.
